5. St.Gotthard Tunnel

     St.Gotthard Tunnel is located in Switzerland, a country in the world. The tunnel's length is 16.918 kilometres which are approximately equal to 10.5 miles long. The tunnel's construction began in 1970 and it was ended in 1980. Its construction cost is 9.560 billion CHF ( it's a type of currency ). The roadway on the tunnel is named as the A2/E35 roadway. It starts from Uri city and end at Ticino city. It has 2 lanes inside the tunnel.



  St.Gotthard tunnel is 16.9 kilometres long.

4. Jinpingshan Tunnel 

     Jinpingshan Tunnel is located in China, a country in the world. The tunnel's length is 17.54 kilometres which are approximately equal to 10.9 miles long. The construction of this dam is ended in 2011. The tunnel has two separate tubes in it.  The first tube's roadway is 17.540 km long whereas the second tube's roadway is 17.485 km long. It is located between the sites of Jinping first and second hydropower stations. It is located at the place of Sichuan in China.



   Jinpingshan tunnel is 17.54 kilometres long.

3. Zhongnanshan Tunnel

      Zhongnanshan tunnel is located in China, a country in the world. The tunnel's length is 18.04 kilometres. It is approximately equal to 11.2 miles long. The construction of this tunnel began in 2002 and ended in 2007. The construction cost of this tunnel is $410 million. The tunnel has two separate tubes in it. The roadway of this tunnel is named as G65. The tunnel starts at Xi'an city and ends at Zhashui city. It is located in the Shaanxi city.



  Zhongnanshan tunnel is 18.04 kilometres long.

2. Yamate Tunnel 

     Yamate tunnel is located in Japan, a country in the world. The tunnel's length is 18.20 kilometres. It is approximately equal to 11.3 miles. The construction of this tunnel began in 1992 and ended in 2015. The tunnel has two separate tubes in it. Each tube has two lanes in it. It is the longest in-city roadway on a tunnel in the whole world. The roadway on this tunnel is named as C2 which is also known as Shuto expressway. It is located in the city of Tokyo in Japan country.



  Yamate tunnel is 18.20 kilometres long.

        Lærdal tunnel is located in Norway, a country in the world. The tunnel's length is 24.51 kilometres which are approximately equal to 15.2 miles long. The construction of this tunnel began in 1995 and ended in 2000. It has only one tube in it. The roadway on this tunnel is named as E16. The tunnel starts at Lærdal city and ends at Aurland city. It is located at the city of Vestland in the Norway country. The cost of this tunnel is $113.1 million.

The construction of this tunnel began in 2012 and ended in 2018. The tunnel has two separate tubes in it. The roadway on this tunnel is named as D.925. The tunnel starts at İkizdere city and ends at İspir city. It is located between the Rize province and Erzurum province in the turkey country.



  Mount Ovit tunnel is 14.369 kilometres long.
